Description

High current 5A constant current and constant voltage LED driver lithium-ion battery charging power module
When using this product, please do not use the same input ground and output ground of the module. This will cause the board’s high-power current sampling resistor to be bypassed, making the module unable to adjust the output current and easily burned when connected to a load. Power chip on the module.
This module is easy to use and powerful. It has 3 major functions to meet your needs in most situations.

Module Highlights:
High power, high efficiency, 5A, low ripple;
Three-in-one:
(1) Used as an ordinary buck module with over-current protection capability;
(2) Used as a charger for lithium batteries, batteries, nickel-cadmium nickel-hydrogen batteries (battery packs) with various voltage values, and used in solar panels, wind turbines, etc.;
(3) Used as a high-power LED constant current drive module;
It has two modes: constant voltage and constant current, and there is an indicator light to indicate which mode the module is currently in;
When used as a lithium battery charger, the float voltage and charging current can be set, and there are indicator lights.
Indicates whether it is charging or fully charged;
With the current limiting protection function, the module will not be burned out even if the output is short-circuited.

Application scope
Used as an ordinary buck module with overcurrent protection capability

Instructions:
(1) Adjust the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the voltage value you want.
(2) Use the 10A current range of the multimeter to measure the output short-circuit current (just connect the two test leads directly to the output terminal), and adjust the constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined overcurrent protection value. (For example, the current value displayed by the multimeter is 4A, then when you use the module, the maximum current can only reach 4A. When the current reaches 4A, the red constant voltage and constant current indicator light will be on, otherwise the indicator light will be off)
Note: When used in this state, since there is a 0.05-ohm current sampling resistor at the output end, there will be a voltage drop of 0~0.3V after the load is connected. This is normal! This voltage drop is not pulled down by your load but drops across the sampling resistor.

Use as a battery charger
Modules without constant current function cannot be used to charge the battery. Since the voltage difference between the exhausted battery and the charger is large, the charging current will be too large and the battery will be damaged. Therefore, you must use constant current on the battery at the beginning. Current charging, and automatically switches back to constant voltage charging when charging reaches a certain level.

Instructions:
(1) Determine the float voltage and charging current of the rechargeable battery you need; (If the lithium battery parameters are 3.7V/2200mAh, then the float voltage is 4.2V, and the maximum charging current is 1C, which is 2200mA)
(2) Under no-load conditions, measure the output voltage with a multimeter, and adjust the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the float voltage; (if charging a 3.7V lithium battery, just adjust the output voltage to 4.2V) (
3) Use the 10A current range of the multimeter to measure the output short-circuit current (Just connect the two test leads directly to the output terminal), and adjust the constant current potentiometer at the same time to make the output current reach the predetermined charging current value;
(4) The default charging current of the lamp is 0.1 times the charging current; (the battery is in the charging process The medium current gradually decreases and gradually changes from constant current charging to constant voltage charging. If the charging current is set to 1A, then when the charging current is less than 0.1A, the blue light goes off and the green light lights up. At this time, the battery Charging completed)
(5) Connect the battery and charge.
(Steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 are: the input end is connected to the power supply, and the output end is unloaded and not connected to the battery)

Used as a high-power LED constant current driver module
(1) Determine the operating current and maximum operating voltage you need to drive the LED;
(2) Under no-load conditions, measure the output voltage with a multimeter and adjust the constant voltage potentiometer to make the output voltage reach the maximum working voltage of the LED;
(3) Use a multimeter with a 10A current range to measure the output short-circuit current, and adjust the constant current potentiometer to make the output current reach the predetermined LED operating current;
(4) Connect the LED and test the machine.
(Steps 1, 2, and 3 are: connect the input to the power supply, and the output is unloaded and does not connect to the LED light.)

Note: When using this module over 3A and 35W, please enhance heat dissipation!!!
